Pat Cryer, 69, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016 at his residence in Harlingen.
Pat was born to John and Bonnie Cryer on November 16, 1947 in Klemme, Iowa. He graduated from Harlingen High School in 1966, where he played on the Cardinal Baseball Team. He later played baseball in college. He was a member of the Harlingen Elks Lodge as well as St. Paul Lutheran Church in Harlingen.
Pat worked for the Overhead Door Company in Harlingen for over 45 years and also with Alamo Doors for the last several years. He loved sports especially baseball and basketball.
He is survived by his sons; Patrick (Eren) Cryer, Jr. and their daughter, Madelynn all of Galveston, TX, and Kevin (Dawn) Cryer and their children, Blake, Dustin, and Jonah all of Louisiana; and also by his mother-in-law, Florence Anderson of Harlingen. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cathy in 2015 and his parents.
Family and friends will gather for a visitation at the funeral home from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, December 21, 2016.
Graveside services only will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2016, 11:00 AM, at the Harlingen-Combes Cemetery in Combes.
Those desiring to do so may make memorial donations to the Harlingen Humane Society or charity of choice.
