San Benito, TX: Oscar G. Garcia, 74, of San Benito, TX passed away Friday, September 2, 2011 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Virgilio and Martha Garcia; his brother, Antonio Garcia, and a son, Juan Flores.
Oscar is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Marie Ann Garcia; his children, Dalia G. Garcia, Oscar J. Garcia, Dorelia J. Barajas, Linda Olvera, George Flores, Patricia Nunez and Jaime Flores; 14 grandchildren and a great granddaughter; along with his brothers, Carlos Garcia, Virgilio Garcia, Alfredo Garcia and Jesus Garcia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. at San Benito Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Interment will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Virgilio Garcia, Alfredo Garcia, Alfredo Garcia, Jr., J.V. Garcia, George Flores and Jaime Flores.
