Oralia S. Gonzalez, 87, passed away on December 22, 2009 at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen.
Oralia was born February 25, 1922 in Mexico to Jose Sosa and Soila Guardiola Sosa. She enjoyed spending time in her garden and with her family.
Oralia was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Gilberto Sosa and Guadalupe Sosa.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Martin Gonzalez; son, Ricardo (Melly) Gonzalez; grandchildren, Brenda Lee Gonzalez, Stacey Lee Gonzalez, Richard Eric Gonzalez; sisters, Epifania Martinez and Hortencia Garza; and her brother, Eddie Garza.
Visitation will be held at San Benito Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. with Pastor Tom Johnson officiating.
Funeral procession will depart on Thursday, December 24, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10 a.m. funeral service at Iglesia Presbiteriana Getsemani, 140 Diaz St., San Benito, TX with Pastor Tom Johnson, officiating. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
Pallbearers will be Richard Eric Gonzalez, Enrique Soto, Randolph C. Kruse, Edward Anthony Kruse III, Brenda Lee Gonzalez and Stacey Lee Gonzalez. Honorary pallbearers will be Eduardo Jose Garza and Nora Ann Garza Kruse.
