Olivia G. Rios

Olivia G. Rios 90 passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 surrounded by her loved ones.  She was born on September 8, 1928 in Brownsville, Texas to Jose & Marcelina Vasquez Garza.

Her husband Jose Rios, parents, Lisa Rios, Jose Rios, Jr., Maria Belen Vela, Juan Antonio Rios, Ricardo Garcia, Antonio Garcia, and Jacinto Vela preceded Olivia in death.

Left to treasure her memory will be children: Guadalupe (Ricardo) Garcia, Esmeralda (Jesus) Flores, Jorge Luis Rios, Jose Angel (Gloria) Rios, Leticia Rios, Juanita (Richard) Guerra, and Lidia Rios (Alma Herrera); grandchildren: Patricia Trevino, Ricardo Garcia Jr., David Garcia, Martin Garcia, Robert Flores, Jesus Flores Jr., Linda Ruiz, Lydia Flores, Alicia Vela, Jacinto Vela Jr., Jason Vela, Yolanda Rios, Jorge Luis Rios Jr., Pedro Garza, Nelly Rios, Oscar Rios, Raul Lopez Jr., Lindsey Silva, Ashley Barron, Christy Atkinson and 39 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, August 2, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Buena Vista Cemetery in Brownsville, Texas

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Robert Flores, Jesus Flores, Jr., Ricardo Garcia Jr., David Garcia, Raul Lopez Jr. and Jorge Luis Rios.  Joshua Lee Trevino, Ricardo Garcia III, Nathan Garcia, and Brandon Gonzalez will serve as honorary pallbearers.
