Ofelia Sanchez Cruz 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, November 22, 2016. She passed after a long battle of Alzheimer and Parkinsons disease. She was born March 21, 1932 in Los Indios, Texas to parents Ventura and Carmen Sanchez.
She was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, and sister. Her devotion to her love and guidance will be dearly missed. Ofelia was a homemaker who raised 9 children. She is preceded in death by husband Gilberto Sr and son Gilberto Jr. She is survived by daughters Hilda (Michael), Dora (Fernando) Selma (Raul) and Belinda (Mark), sons Enrique (Leticia), Ramiro (Cathy), Rudolfo and Bernardo (Donna). She is also survived by 27 great grandchildren. She is survived by siblings Elida Marichalar, Lupana Garza and Irma Ysaguirre, and David Sanchez. Preceded in death by sister, Elena Guardiola and brother, Juan Sanchez.
Visitation for the general public is planned Friday, November 25th at 3:00 to 6:00 PM at San Benito Funeral Home 1400 West Hwy 77, San Benito, TX 78586.
Memorial service will be Saturday, November 26th at 10:00 A.M. at San Benito Funeral Home 1400 West Hwy 77, San Benito, TX 78586.
