Noemi Rendón Esparza , 86, of San Benito, Texas; peacefully entered heavenly paradise on January 20, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Mema & Mimi, as she was affectionately known by family and friends, was born September 30, 1937 in San Benito, Texas. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Ernesto Esparza Sr. Her parents, Rogerío Rendón Sr & Josefina Villarreal Rendón. Her siblings, Rebecca Rendón Sanchez and Ramiro Rendón.
Mom leaves to cherish her beautiful memory to her loving children, Ernesto (Berta) Esparza Jr., Grace (Jim) Norris and Norma (Eddie) Woodard; her wonderful grandchildren, Melinda (Robert) Huizar, Ernie (Josie) Esparza III, Andy (Shawnee) Lockett and Matthew Woodard; and her delightful great-grandchildren, Grayson Esparza and Miá Bella Esparza.
Mom loved to read mystery novels, visit her primas, and go on mini vacations with her daughter, Grace. Mostly, she lived her best life enjoying her family, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was Mother “Mom/Mommy”, grandmother “Grandma”, and great-grandmother “Jémo”. We will always cherish her memory! We miss you already!
Also left to treasure Mom’s memory are her siblings, Noe (Marilyn) Rendón, Josie Rendón Moralez, Dorinda Rendón Ward, Norma Rendón (Roberto) García, Rogerío Rendón Jr. and her very dear cousin, Irma Gonzales; plus many more loving family and friends.
Mom called her family the “Fab 5”, we love and will always keep you in our hearts until we meet again.
The family wishes to thank everyone at the Sun Valley Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Harlingen that took care of mom for us, we appreciate each and every one of you (you know who you are). We’d also like to thank Amedisys Hospice, for their prompt attention and never ending compassion.

Per Mom’s wishes, Mom will be cremated. We will hold a religious burial ceremony at a later date for both Mom and Dad’s ashes together. We will notify family when this will takes place, in hopes you will be able to attend and bid them farewell.
