Neva K. Harmon, 79, passed away on March 15, 2009 at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen. Neva was born November 15, 1929 Warrensville, Pennsylvania to Elwood Kurtz and Dora Fay McHenry. She attended Lycoming College where she received a Liberal Arts Degree in Music.
She had a real estate license, a founding board member of Port Isabel Public Library and the Port Isabel Chamber of Commerce, and was business owner and homemaker. Neva was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by her loving husband Judge Roland H. Harmon; her children, Greta K. Daniels, Thomas H. Harmon and Charles K. Harmon; grandchildren, Jonathan H. Harmon, Jeremy H. Harmon, Miranda F. Daniels, Cameron K. Harmon, Trisha R. Harmon and Megan D. Harmon; and great grandchildren, Jonas H. Harmon.
A memorial service will be at the First United Methodist Church in Port Isabel on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at 7 p.m. with Rev. Sue Huntsman officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1074, Port Isabel, TX 78578.
