Nannie B. Roberts, 93, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at Harlingen Nursing Center.
Nannie was born on March 29, 1916 in McAlester, Oklahoma to D.G. and Nettie Anderson. She had been a resident of the Rio Hondo, San Benito and Harlingen area since 1944. She also was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Harlingen.
Nannie is survived by her sons, Jerry Roberts and his wife, Jamie of Harlingen; Steve Roberts and his wife, Kathy of Houston, TX; daughter, Susan Westbrook and her husband, Mark of Greensboro, NC; sisters, Mary Emden of San Antonio, TX and Carolyn Power of Montgomery, AL; grandchildren, Christopher and Megan Westbrook and Jennifer Roberts; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, E.B. Roberts in 1991, whom she had been married to over 50 years.
Graveside services only will be held at Mont Meta Memorial Park, 1:30 P.M., Saturday, September 26, 2009 with the Rev. David Mann officiating.
Honorary Pallbearers will be her children and grandchildren.
