Nancy Lynn Atkinson

Due to current Cameron County restrictions on gatherings visitation will be limited to 10 persons at a time in the funeral home.  Each person is required to wear a facial covering.

Nancy Lynn Atkinson, 57, passed peacefully from this life at her home in Los Fresnos, TX on April 9, 2020.  She was born on March 30, 1963 to the late Guillermo Guajardo and Rebecca Wong in San Benito, TX.

In the 1980s, Nancy worked as a paralegal in law offices in the Brownsville-Harlingen area.  She loved being a homemaker and was a Junior Falcons Cheerleader sponsor.  Nancy enjoyed BBQ, family movie nights, FFA activities with her children, and catching birds.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Willie Joe Atkinson.

Left to treasure Nancy’s memory are her husband of 31 years, Ismael Atkinson; children, Rebecca Atkinson and Abigail Atkinson; and close family member, Jose (Melizza) Atkinson, Jr.

Visitation will take place on Monday, April 13, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at San Benito Funeral Home.  A graveside service and interment will be at 10:30 a.m.on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at Los Cuates Cemetery in Los Fresnos.

Honored to serve as active pallbearers are Abigail Atkinson, Jose Atkinson, Jr. Melizza Atkinson, David Gonzalez, Carlos Abrego, Marco Huerta, Tyler Atkinson and Taylor Atkinson. Honorary pallbearers are Ismael Atkinson and Rebecca Atkinson.
