Mildred Hendrix

September 20, 1946 — January 24, 2014

Arroyo City:
Hazel Sublett Hendrix, age 67, passed away January 24th 2014 in Harlingen after a long struggle.
Hazel was born September 20th, 1946 in Harlingen, Texas to Henry Sublett and Mildred Harris Mayo and was raised by her step-father Jack Mayo.
She is survived by her cousin, Becky Biehl (Jim) of Las Vegas, NV and their son Jeff Biehl of San Antonio, TX and her cousin Ginger Byram (James) of Harlingen.
Hazel was preceded in death by her twin brother “Hamp” Sublett and her grandparents, Lance and Irene Harris.
Hazel had a smile that would light up a room and a mischievous twinkle in the eye.  She had a love for all of God’s creatures.  Being overly generous was a trait that all her friends and acquaintances were aware of.  Many fish were landed on her Arroyo lighted pier. Antiques and collectibles were another of her passions. Another Hazel will seldom come this way again.
Her friends, Bobby Hamilton, Jackie Wisdom and James Lopez helped her through her final years.
A graveside service will be held Monday, February 3rd, at 11:00 a.m., at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, TX.
Memorial donations can be made to the Harlingen Humane Society or a charity of choice.
