Mike Wardlow

Michael Dean Wardlow, 60, went to be with Jesus Christ early Sunday morning, April 19, 2009 in Houston, Texas. He was born August 27, 1948 in Harlingen, Texas to T.J. and Fannie Wardlow. He graduated from La Feria High School and attended Pan American University.
He had lived most of his adult life in Houston working for Houston Power & Light, drove a concrete truck and presently having worked for Guards Mark Security Company.
Mike proudly served his country in Korea during the Vietnam Conflict sending supplies to Vietnam. Due to his mother’s many prayers, he was stationed in Korea.
Now Mike is walking the streets of Glory with his mom, dad, and niece Shelley Waters. He is survived by his loving sister, Janice (Don) Waters of Rio Hondo and brother, Jeral (Gayla) Wardlow of Dallas, Texas. Also surviving are nephews, Bruce (Karen) Waters, Seth (Amy) Wardlow, Greg (Sandy) Wardlow and niece, Jodie (Mitch) Ellis. Six great nieces and seven great nephews also survive. Mike loved all.
A Memorial celebration of his life will be held at the Rio Hondo Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 28, at 4:00 p.m., in Rio Hondo, Texas. The Rev. Gene Horton and Vance Greek will conduct the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the T.V. Ministry of Rio Hondo Baptist Church, P.O. Box 279, Rio Hondo, Texas 78583.
