Michael David Roggen peacefully passed from this life on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at his home in San Benito, Texas. He was born on March 1, 1937 to John and Lucille Johnston Roggen in Los Angeles, California.
For over 40 years, Michael was employed in insurance litigation and was also a private investigator and business owner of ADC Office Supply in Fort Worth. He enjoyed spending time with his family, reading books, watching movies, doing yard work and loved the outdoors. Michael was a sports car buff; he especially loved Corvettes and Porsches. He enjoyed them so much he even sold cars for a short time. Michael was a huge fan of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and a devout Catholic.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lucille Roggen, and his brother, James Roggen.
Left to cherish Michael’s memory are his loving wife of 54 years, Nicolasa “Nickie” Rodriguez Roggen; daughter, Cynthia Allen (Ronnie); son, Timothy Roggen (Macrina); grandchildren, Jacob Allen, Samuel Allen, and Julia Roggen.
The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers at Kindred Hospice.
The Roggen family will be receiving friends and relatives on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at San Benito Funeral Home. There will be a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 o’clock on Thursday evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Our Lady Queen of the Universe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
