Mary Margaret (Dugan) Caudill died November 14, 2009 at her home in Harlingen, Texas after a long illness.
She was born January 18, 1921 to Peck and Preston Dugan west of Lone Wolf, OK. She attended and graduated Lone Wolf Public Schools. Margaret married George Caudill March 18, 1939. As a young girl she loved horseback riding, and after she married George she was member of the First Christian Church, P.E.O., Fortnightly Research and Missionary in Hobart, OK. Margaret operated a cattle business and wheat farms west of Lone Wolf until she moved to Harlingen, TX in 1984 with her husband George. She was a volunteer at the Marine Military Academy in Harlingen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Peck and Preston Dugan; two brothers, Henry and Pat Dugan; and two sons, Robert and Patrick Caudill.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathleen Caudill; three nephews, Michael Frank Dugan, Dick Dugan and George Dugan; four grandchildren, Dugan and Courtney Caudill, Jesse Igo, Mary Margaret Davis, and two great grandchildren.
The family would like to give thanks to her two loving caretakers, Mandy Villarreal and Rita Guerra, the wonderful people at the Dialysis Center and Dr. Lozano all of Harlingen.
A memorial service will be held November 24, 2009 at the Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home in Harlingen at 1:30 p.m. A graveside service for both Margaret and George Caudill will be held at the Hobart Oklahoma Cemetery at a later date.
