Mary K. Barron, 99, passed away on November 28, 2008 in Harlingen, Texas. Mary was born November 5, 1909 in Runge, Texas to Nathan and Vida Dickey. She was a 75 year resident of the Valley. Mary was an avid bridge player and long time member of Chapter L of PEO.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Frank Barron and daughter, Marilyn Duncan.
A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Mary is survived by her son, John Michael Barron; grandchildren, Robert Barron Duncan, Nancy Duncan Yates and Guy Michael Barron; great-grandchildren, John Barron Duncan, Catherine Lyn Duncan, Thomas Duncan Yates, Carter Andrew Yates, Talia Lindsay Barron, Kyle Austin Barron, and Hart Alan Barron; and a brother, Nathan Dickey, Jr.
The family would especially like to thank her devoted caregivers, Nora Herbenar, Corina Zambranu and Mary Reyes for their wonderful and compassionate care.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 1, 2008, 1 p.m., at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home with Rev. David Mann, officiating. A private interment will follow.
