HARLINGEN:
Martha “Marty” Rawls, 81, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2007. Marty was born October 11, 1925 in Gate, OK to Lena and Charles Lindsey.
She was a longtime resident of Harlingen. Martha was an avid bridge player and played for many years at the Harlingen Elks Lodge. She loved spending time with family and friends. Martha loved gardening, spending many hours tending to hers and other family member’s gardens, and adored her granddaughter’s dog “Gizmo” whom she considered her pal.
Martha and her husband were able to travel and live all over the world due to her husband’s military career. She was married to Harry C. Rawls for 56 years who was the love of her life ..
She is survived by her sister, Jean Ostroh of Longmont, CO; grandchildren, Kurt (Kay) Naumann of Rockwall, TX and Kristi (Darrin) Ceranski of Grand Prairie, TX; step great grandchildren, Collin and Calli Ceranski of Grand Prairie, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband Harry C. Rawls and daughter, Lynn Naumann of Weslaco, TX.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Tonya Gomez for all her love and support she gave the Rawls for over 25 years.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 12, 2007, 10 a.m., at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Brewer officiating.
