Marjorie Adele Tilley Sexton passed from this earth to meet her Creator on the 17th day of August 2014, at her home. She and her husband have resided at the Camelot Retirement Community in Harlingen, Texas since December of 2007, having moved here from Brownsville, Texas where she had resided since 1963.
Marjorie was born in Houston, Texas on September 25, 1924. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Harry L. Sexton Jr.; one sister, Mildred Tilley Wright; her daughter, Judy Adam Murff; her son, Larry Adam and his wife Gayle Adam. Other survivors include step-son Ronny (Millie) Sexton, step-son Robby Sexton, step-daughter Penny (Mike) Buckert; and the following grandchildren: Leslie Barrett, Shannon Sexton, Shane Sexton, Michele Sexton, Amanda (Luke) Horton, Douglas (Michelle) Buckert; Kimberly (Michael) Valdez, Jack (Audrey) Todd; and Barbara (Mike) Hamer. Marjorie also had 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Lillian Tilley; her brothers, Herbert Tilley, Kenneth Tilley, Vernon Tilley and Dorris Tilley Kromer.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at 10 a.m., at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home with Pastor John Fluthe officiating.
Marjorie would like special thanks to be given to Greater Valley Hospice who assisted her in her final days.
