Marina Mion, 86, passed away at her residence on June 29, 2010. Marina was born in Fanna, Italy on March 26, 1924 to Albert and Elizebetta Roman.
Marina along with her family owned and operated Mion Terrazzo, Tile & Marble Co., Inc. She was a volunteer at Valley Baptist Medical Center for 30 years, a member of the Elks Lodge and a parishioner at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church for 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Romano Mion; her parents, Albert and Elizebetta Roman; and sister, Olga Thomson of England.
Marina is survived by her daughter, Cristina Mion of Houston; son, Robert Mion of Harlingen; grandchildren, Thomas, Michael and Robyn Mion; one brother, Primo Roman of England; and several nieces and nephews of England.
A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2010, 11 a.m., at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Harlingen with Father Tom Pencelli as celebrant. A private entombment will be held at a later time.
