San Benito, TX. : Maricela “Princess” Medrano, was called to be with our lord and savior on Monday, the 21st of March 2016. She was forty –two years old, born on the 11th of April 1973 in Harlingen, Texas to her parents, Jesus and Esperanza Medrano.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jesus Medrano Sr. , and grandmother Jovita Martinez.
Survivors include her loving mother Esperanza Medrano, her siblings, Juan Medrano, Lydia (Juan)Torres, Anita(Javier)Cavazos, Jesus (Martha) Medrano, Mario (Linda) Medrano, Manny(Maggie) Medrano, Rudy (Laura) Medrano, and Oscar Medrano. Maricela is also survived by numerous nieces and nephew.
Serving as her pallbearers will be her brothers Juan Medrano, Jesus Medrano, Mario Medrano, Manny Medrano, Rudy Medrano, and Oscar Medrano.
Maricela (The Princess) enjoyed her hobbies which included singing to the Lord, playing the drums at church, going to the movies, traveling, coloring her books, going out to eat, listening to Radio Vida, and her x-large coke. To her everyone was a princess and her favorite phrase was “Te Amo”.
Visiting hours are on Thursday, the 24th of March 2016, beginning at 3:00 pm in the afternoon and concluding at 9:00 pm at night, with a prayer to begin at 6:00 pm Thursday evening within the San Benito Funeral Home Chapel, 1400 West Highway 77, San Benito, Texas 78586. Friday, the 25th of March 2016, beginning at 3:00 pm. With a prayer service to begin at 7:00 pm at Templo Lirio de Los Valle located at 305 Winchell St. in San Benito, Texas 78586.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, the26th of March 2016, at 10:00 a.m. in the morning at Templo Lirio de Los Valle. Interment will then follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
