Maria Teresa "Tere" Perez

María Teresa “Tere” Pérez, 88, passed peacefully from this life on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.  She was born to the late José Ángel Galván and Vicenta Medrano in Tampico, Tamps., México on October 14, 1932.

Tere enjoyed knitting, sewing, and was active in her church.

She is survived by her children, Tito Armando (Gloria) Pérez and Sandra (Mike) Villaseñor; grandchildren, Miguel and Sasha Villaseñor; great-grandchildren, Elijah Cantú, Malachi Cantú, Zephaniah Cantú, Leah Villaseñor, Arianna Villaseñor, and Genesis Cantú.

Tere was preceded in death by her husband, Joaquín G. “Tito” Pérez and her parents, José A. Galván and Vicenta Medrano Galván.

Visitation will take place on Monday, January 11, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. (Click on the link below to view a live-stream of the Prayer Service.)

Tere will be laid to rest on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
