Maria Guadalupe Gonzales

Surrounded by her loving family, María Guadalupe Gonzales peacefully passed from this life at her home on September 15, 2020. She was born on December 31, 1923 in San Benito, Texas to the late Manuel and Candelaria Ramos Longoria.

María enjoyed gardening, sewing, and cooking.  She was an outstanding wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

María is preceded in death by her husband Juan Gonzales, her sons Noe L. Gonzales and Irineo L. Gonzales, and her grandson, Johnny Domínguez

Left to treasure her memory are her children, Lydia (Rafael) Domínguez, Manuel (Rose) Gonzales, San Juana (José M.) Hernandez, José (Melva) Gonzales, Irma Gonzales, Dalia Gonzales, and Lupita (Daniel) Gonzales; 23 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren.

The Gonzales family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, September 17, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at San Benito Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place Friday, September 18, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. at Mont Meta Memorial Park.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Daniel Gonzales, Jr., Joey Gonzales, Tristen Sauceda, Eric Gonzales, Brandon Gonzales, and Aaron Gonzales.

María’s family thanks Kindred Hospice nurses for their professionalism and compassionate care. The Gonzales family asks for continued prayer during this difficult time.
