Maria E. (Montes) Hernandez

Maria E. Hernandez, of Rio Hondo, Texas, passed away on February 23, 2018. She was born to David Montes Flores and Maria Andrea Montes Pintro on December 16, 1959 in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Pedro “Pepe” Lopez.
Maria is survived by her sons, Gilberto (Jennifer) Lopez, Oracio (Brianna) Lopez, Miguel A. Hernandez; grandchildren, Noah Lopez, Levi Lopez, soon-to-be-born Brayden Oriel Lopez, Natalie Moreno, Alexis Moreno.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at San Benito Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. at St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Rio Hondo on Wednesday, February 28, 2018. Funeral services will conclude with the Funeral Mass.
Honored to serve as active pallbearers will be Gilberto Lopez, Oracio Lopez, Miguel Hernandez, Kiki Rodriguez, Juan Tello, and Carlos Perez. Honorary pallbearers will be Noah Lopez and Levi Lopez.
