She was born in San Benito, TX on July 3, 1950 to Mariano and Maria Perez.
She loved spending time with family, singing and playing the guitar and educating young minds.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Mariano and Maria Perez, brother: Guadalupe Salvador Perez and grandmother Francisca G. Perez.
She is survived by her husband Jose Luis Zavala, daughters: Ruby Ann (Larry Molina) Zavala-Molina, Krystal Rose Zavala, sons: John Paul Zavala, Joseph Louis Zavala, siblings: Maria Anita Perez, Frances Cerda Belen Garcia, Manuela Perez, Miguel Perez and Alicia Espinoza. She is also survived by the love of her life her two grandsons Joseph Louis Zavala, Jason Lee Zavala, granddaughter, Anneliese Justice Marie Molina.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2013 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. at San Benito Funeral Home with a Rosary prayed at 7 p.m. The funeral procession will depart on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 11:30 for a 12:00 p.m. Mass at St. Benedict Catholic Church with Father Sam Arizpe officiating. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
