Maria “Mary” M. Trevino, 77, passed away peacefully February 12, 2025, in Harlingen, Texas. She was born September 23, 1947, in Harlingen, Texas to Gregorio Martinez and Dominga Silva Martinez.
Mary had a varied career, finally working as a Sales Associate for Delta Gift Bazaar in Harlingen. She stopped working there in order to dedicate herself to being a full-time mom. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Combes, where she contributed her time and efforts to various church activities, such as the choir and prison ministries. In her leisure time, Mary found joy in serving others, dining out with friends, and sharing her passion for her faith in Jesus, as well as her pride in her children and grandchildren.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Gregorio and Dominga Martinez; her husband, Reynaldo Jose “Joe” Trevino; her sister Concepcion “Connie” Robles; her brother Pedro “Pete” Martinez; and her stepson, Jose “Jo-Jo” Reynaldo Trevino.
She is survived by her children, Julian Ray Trevino, Santos “Sunday” Hobbs (Andrew), stepchildren, Ricardo “Ricky” Trevino (Silvia), Rafael “Ralph” Trevino, Teresa “Roonie” Navarro (Rene); her grandchildren, Joshua Navarro, Marissa Trevino, Ivana Trevino, Aaron Hobbs, Benjamin Hobbs, Chloe Hobbs; and her devoted caregiver of over 16 years, Leticia De la Fuente.
The family expresses deep gratitude to the staff of Davita Dialysis and Amedisys Hospice, as well as the supportive community at First Baptist Church in Combes.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Combes, Texas, with a luncheon to follow the service.
