Maria Inez Soto

Maria Inez Soto, 74, born July 10, 1944, entered the kingdom of God early Friday morning, December 7, 2018.

She died peacefully at Valley Baptist Medical Center surrounded by family.

Maria was a resident of Rio Hondo and a member of St. Helen’s Catholic Church. She was a wonderful cook and had a love for cake decorating and sewing. She was an adoring wife. She loved her children and gave them happiness. Her grandkids were her outmost joy who always brought a smile to her face.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carlos Soto; her parents Amador & Berta Ruiz; brother Amador Ruiz, Jr., sister Juanita Ruiz and sister in-law Irma Ruiz.

Left to cherish her memories will be her children: Linda (Adalberto, Jr.) Sandoval, Yolanda Soto, and Joe (Diana) Soto; grandchildren: Karly Sandoval, Marissa Sandoval, Christina Belle Sandoval, Christopher Joseph Alaniz, Rebecca Claire Soto, Cynthia Rachelle Soto, and Cassandra Rae Soto; her siblings: Lupita Ruiz, Amalia “Molly” (Robert) Cowger, Joe (Anna) Ruiz, Robert (+Irma) Ruiz, and sister-in-law Maria de Lourdes (+Amador) Ruiz.

Visitation will take place on Monday, December 10th at San Benito Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 pm with the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m... Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 11th at St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Rio Hondo. Burial will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park

Honor to serve as pallbearers will be: Christina Belle Sandoval, Marissa Sandoval, Adalberto Sandoval, Jr., Rodolfo Ruiz, Christopher Joseph Alaniz, and David Jackson Cowger.
