Maria Rosa Rodriguez

Maria Rosa Rodriguez, aged 81, peacefully passed away on March 15, 2025, in Harlingen, Texas. She was born on February 27, 1944, in Mexico to Alfonso Lerma and Maria Rosa Mata.

A devoted member of the Jehovah's Witness faith, Rosa had a deep appreciation for nature, which was reflected in her passion for gardening and caring for her hens.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Guadalupe Rodriguez. Rosa is survived by her cherished nieces and nephews: Maribel, Alfonso, Norma, Delia, Yolis, Fernando, Guadalupe, Ismael, Juany, and Martha.

The Rodriguez family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. A funeral talk will begin at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening. The funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 10:30 on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, for an 11:00 o’clock graveside service at Los Cuates Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Alex Santillan, Ramiro Sanchez, Pablo Santillan and Delia Gracia.
