San Benito, TX- Maria De Refugio Resendez went with the Lord November 18, 2012 after a lengthy illness at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose E. Resendez; her granddaughter, Jessica V. Resendez; and her parents, Merced and Camila Barrientos.
Maria is survived by her children, Ramon (Celia) Resendez of California; Reynaldo (Jai) Resendez of Florida; Bertha Resendez of Harlongen, TX; Robert Lee (Georgana) Resendez of Dallas; and Joel (Vicky) Resendez of Harlingen; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M with the Holy Rosary prayed at 7:00 P.M. at San Benito Funeral Home.
The funeral precession will depart San Benito Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 1:30 P.M. for a 2:00 P.M. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
