La Paloma, TX – Maria I. Padilla Naranjo Garcia, 90, of La Paloma, TX passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Solara Hospital in Harlingen.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Gilberto Naranjo; her husband, Pilar Garcia; her son, Jesus Naranjo; her parents, Antonio Padilla and Manuela Padilla; her brothers, Antonio Padilla and Santos Padilla.
Maria is survived by her children, Santiago (Jesusa) Naranjo, Cipriano (Reyes) Naranjo, Gilberto Naranjo, Jr., Jose (Guadalupe) Naranjo, Maria (Ismael) Medina, Antonio (Gloria) Naranjo, Katy (Eloy) Jaimes, and Isabel (Patricio) Leal; her brothers, Francisco Padilla, Jesus Padilla, and Monserrato Padilla; her sister, Guadalupe Chapa; along with 23 grandchildren; and 48 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2012 from 2:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M with the Holy Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 P.M. at San Benito Funeral Home.
The funeral precession will depart San Benito Funeral Home on Friday, February 24, 2012 at 9:30 A.M. for a 10:00 A.M. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Interment will follow at El Calaboz Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Santiago Naranjo, Jr., Marty Naranjo, Mark Naranjo, Carlos Naranjo, Jose Luis Medina, Tony Naranjo, Jr., Avy Torrez and Aaron Leal.
