Maria Del Carmen Muniz
Maria Del Carmen Alayon- Muniz went to be with the lord at the age of 84 on March 28, 2010.
She wa born July 9, 1925 to Jesus Osle Alayon and Victoria Alayon- Flores in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesus R. Muniz, Daughter, San Juanita Muniz- Alacorta, Brother, Antonio Alayon.
Maria is survived by her children, four sons and six daughters; Simon A.Muniz Sr.(Rosalinda), Eulogio Muniz Sr. both of Harlingen, Juan Jose MunizSr.(Estella) of San Benito, Jesus Muniz Jr.(Shirley), Aurelia Huerta(Vicente Jr.), Laurentina Cruz(Ruben Sr.),Carmen Suarez(Joe)all from Harlingen, Maria Trinidad(Lalo) of Sarasota Florida, Alicia Banda(Javier) of San Pedro Texas and Graciela Valladares(Ricardo) of Raymondville, Texas, also survived by her four sisters and five brothers, and a twin sister; Guadalupe Sanchez of Mcallen, Laura Ramos, Maria De Jesus, Lourdes, Luis Alayon, Dr. Juan Benito Alayon, all of Austin, Texas, Jesus Alayon Jr. of Chicago, the third, National Gaurd Retired Lt. Col., Mario Alayon, Bernabe Alayon both of Austin, Texas. Maria is also survived by 42 Grandchildren and 68 Great-Grandchildren.
Ama- the name she took on by her grandchildren will be greatly missed by all her friends and family, Ama, vaya con dios.
Pallbeares will be; Simon Muniz Jr; Jimmy Huerta, Runeb Cruz, Jr. Eulogio Muniz Jr; Gabriel Suarez and Juan Carlos Muniz. Also Able Nino, Marcelino Silva Jr. Tony Alcorta Jr. and Sammy Huerta.
The family will be having a public visitation on Wednesday March 31,2010 from 12:00pm to 9:00pm with a Holy Rosary to be recieved at 7:00pm that same evening at San Benito Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be on Thursday April1, 2010 at 10:00am at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Harlingen, Texas. interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito Texas.
