On September 15, 2014 Maria F. Martinez went to be with the Lord. She was born on August 20, 1964 to Pablo and Enriqueta Falcon. Maria was a very loving wife, mother, sister and aunt. She was employed by Cameron County WIC Phone Bank and was an active member of St. Helen’s Catholic Church.
Maria was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Juan M. Martinez; son, Emilio Omar Martinez; daughter, Miranda Grace Martinez; sisters, Ester Reid and Minerva (Jose) Salazar; brother, Felipe (Norma) Falcon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 10:00 a.m., at St. Helen’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Miguel Navarro Jr., Leroy Valledares, Elvis Reid Jr., Joey Salazar, Adan Salazar, and Felipe Salazar. Honorary pallbearer will be Felipe Falcon.
