Maria Del Rosario (Tristan) Lopez

Maria Del Rosario Tristan Lopez, 69, passed peacefully from this life on Sunday, March 28, 2021 in San Benito, TX.  She was born June 4, 1951 in Harlingen, Texas to Jose G. Tristan and Francisca Sandoval Tristan.

Maria was a graduate of Harlingen High School, Class of 1969.  She was employed as an administrative assistant for 25 years.  In her leisure time, she enjoyed traveling.

Maria was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church in San Benito.

She is preceded in death by her parents Jose G. and Francisca (Sandoval) Tristan; husband Benito M. Lopez, Sr.; son Javier G. Lopez; and brother Jose R. Tristan.

Left to treasure her memory are her daughter Yvonne Frances (Luciano E. Chapa III) Chapa and her granddaughter Zoe Sway Chapa.

Visitation will be Friday, April 2, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7 o’clock on Friday evening.
