San Benito, TX – Maria De La Paz Quiroz, 68, of San Benito, TX passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen.
She was a Christian lady; she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family especially with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son, Rene Quiroz; her grandson, Greg Quiroz III; her parents, Rafael and Maria Delfina Saldivar; a sister, Carlota Rodriguez; and a brother, Ruben Saldivar.
Maria is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Gregorio Quiroz; her children, Gregorio (Mary) Quiroz, Jr. of San Benito, Sylvia (Rene) Farias of Rio Hondo, Joe Quiroz of San Benito, Celina (Leandro) Padilla of Arkansas, Mary (Abel) Arriola of Alice, TX, Eleazar (Laura) Quiroz of Brownsville, and Daniel (Jessica) Quiroz of San Benito; 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 4 sisters and 4 brothers.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 27, 2012 from 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M with the Prayer Service to be prayed at 7:00 P.M. at San Benito Funeral Home.
A Chapel Service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at San Benito Funeral Home with Pastor Mario Correa officiating. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
