Marguerite “Margie” Phillips went on home on Monday, November 2, 2009. Born in St. Louis, MO on November 19, 1924, Margie grew up in San Antonio, Texas where she met and married H.W. (Bill) Phillips, her husband of 67 years. They moved to Harlingen in 1948, where they raised their family and grew old together.
Margie is survived by her husband, Bill; her two daughters Betty and Sue; her son Bill; five granddaughters Peggy, Suzy, Lauren, Abby, and Natalie; and three grandsons Andy, Dusty and Terry.
The family wants to express special thanks to Dr. Loewen and staff; Natalie Bradley; Bro. Chris Hall and family; and the staff of Harlingen Nursing Center.
A memorial service will be held at Buck Ashcraft Funeral on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Chris Hall, officiating.
