Margarita Halbert

San Benito:
Margarita Halbert, 82, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Harlingen Medical Center.
Margarita was born on July 20, 1930 in Monterrey, Mexico to Samuel and Celia (Ayala) Lingow.   She had been a resident of San Benito since 1955 moving there from Mexico.  She married Stephen M. Halbert on December 7, 1966.
Margarita had many interest especially gardening, cooking, fishing and helping on the farm.  She was also a member of the Rangerville Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Griselda Lingow of San Benito; sisters, Consuelo Cantu of Mexico and Blanca Estella Lingow of Mexico; step-son, Wayne M. Halbert of Rangerville; step-daughter, Joyce Hollimen of Pasadena, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, Stephen M.  Halbert in1972 and step-daughter, Barbara Fisher in 2012.
Visitation hours will be held from 4:00 PM to 9:00PM, Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home, 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 6, 2013 with burial to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Joaquin Cantu, Peter Sifuentes, Abel Briano, Marcos Molina, Jesse Sifuentes, and Fernando Flores.
