Margaret Jane Klein Fry—age 87 of Harlingen, Texas, passed away in her sleep June 3, 2007.
She was a member of the 8th and Harrison Church of Christ.
Preceded in death by her father, Anthony Edward Klein and mother, Bertie Lee, and her husband LeRoy Fry and their infant son, LeRoy Fry, Jr. Margaret was raised in Harlingen and attended Harlingen High School where she was a Cardinal cheerleader.
She met her beloved husband of 58 years, an All-American football star while both were attending Texas A & I University, Kingsville, Texas. Together they dedicated their lives to raising their family and spending time with loved ones. She was an active member of the Junior League of Harlingen for many years serving on numerous committees and continued to be active in her beloved Chapter T P.E.O and various local civic organizations.
All who had the opportunity to know sweet Margaret agree she was a most thoughtful, well-read and sincere person and loved dearly.
Survived by her three children, Steven E. Fry (Jan) San Antonio, TX., Robert D. Fry, Kingwood, TX., Jean Maddox (Jim)Nashville, TN.; eight grandchildren, Willam F. Hull(Jenny) Harlingen,TX, Robert E. Hull (Jody) Nashville, TN., Steven E. Fry (Laura Nell), Casey A. Fry, all from San Antonio, TX, Joel R. Fry, Houston, TX, Kelcey L. Fry, Dallas, TX., Jonathan H. Fry and Reagan H. Fry both from Kingwood, TX.; seven great grandchildren, R. Connor Hull, W. Klein Hull, Ellington Jane Hull, R. Edward Hull, Margaret Saunders Hull, William B. Hull, Nancy Nell Fry, and numerous nieces and nephews that she adored.
Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 7, 2007 at the Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home with Robert Bostick officiating. Interment will be held at 4:30 p.m. at the Sinton Cemetery aside her husband, LeRoy Fry and son, LeRoy Fry, Jr.
Pallbearers will include her great grandsons and the honorary pallbearers will include Tommy Mathis, Stuart Mayo, Graham McCullough, Gene McCullough, Lloyd Pratt, Sam Sparks and Houston Yarborough.
