Marcelino Urbina, Jr.

Marcelino Urbina, Jr., 71, passed peacefully from this life at his home on July 14, 2018.  He was born to Marcelino Urbina, Sr. and Evangelina Ramirez Urbina on January 22, 1947 in Los Indios, Texas.

Marcelino was employed as a truck driver until his retirement.  Among his hobbies was gardening, which he greatly enjoyed.

Marcelino was preceded in death by his wife, Ester Urbina and his parents, Marcelino, Sr. and Evangelina R. Urbina.

He is survived by his daughter, Ruby Ann Urbina Gilmer; sisters, Irene Urbina, Ninfa Moreno, Isabel Urbina, Maria Mireles, Guadalupe Contreras, and Dora U. Ramirez.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 1:00 to 9:00 PM at San Benito Funeral Home with a recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Los Indios.  Following the mass, Marcelino will be laid to rest at Las Rucias Memorial Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Julian Moreno, Joel Moreno, Jose Garcia, Michael Mireles, Rogerio Mercado, Sr., and Rogerio Mercado, Jr.
