SAN BENITO, TX. – Manuel G. Garza, born December 10, 1940, died Friday, November 21, 2014 at Valley Baptist Medical Center – Harlingen. He was 73.
Manuel was a man who loved the outdoors; he enjoyed fishing and gardening as his favorite hobbies and pastimes.
His parents, Leobardo Garza and Dolores Garcia Garza; brothers, Ismael Garza and Leobardo Garza, Jr.; and sister, Angelita Garza Pedraza, precede him in death.
Survivors include his children, Connie Rosenbaum, Luis Jerardo Garza, and Linda Garza; and siblings Idalia Garza Benavidez, Eliberto Garza, Estela Rodriguez, Alicia Garza, Juan Garza, and Lupita Garza Leal. Also surviving Mr. Garza are his four grandchildren, Nicole Rosenbaum, Ashley Rosenbaum, Justin Garza, and Robert Garza; as well as two great-grandchildren, Ethan Perez and Dominic Perez.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 1:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M. today, Sunday, November 23, 2014, with a recitation of the holy rosary scheduled for seven o’clock this evening within the San Benito Funeral Home Chapel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 24, 2014 at eleven o’clock in the morning in St. Ignatius Catholic Church in El Ranchito, Texas. Committal services will then follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
