Magdalena (Sanchez) Rivera

Magdalena Sánchez Rivera, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Valley Baptist Medical Center, Harlingen, Texas.

Magdalena was born on May 25, 1930 in San Benito, Texas to Rosendo and Celsa Sánchez. Magdalena was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Zamora Rivera; parents, Rosendo and Celsa; siblings, Julian, Juanita, José Juan and Cástulo; children Juan, Tomas, and Norma; grandchildren, Juan González and Edward Anthony Folsom.

She is survived by her sister, Dominga; children, Olga Folsom, Ricardo (Rachel), Edward, and Belinda; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 12, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening.
