Madesta Franks, 89, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at Valley Baptist Medical Center.
Madesta was born December 29, 1917 in Dawson County, Texas to William Nathan Wright and Clara Augusta Addison. She graduated from Lamesa High School and then married Raymond Franks on November 6, 1937. Madesta lived in the Valley since 1946. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family and had a love of nature, especially bird watching.
She is survived by her husband Raymond Franks of Harlingen; daughter, Beverly Byrd of Harlingen; son, Larry (Barbara) Franks of Round Rock, TX; grandchildren, Kevin Franks of Austin, TX, Melanie Franks of Round Rock; Laurie (Paul) Campbell of Leander, TX; great grandchildren, Kyle Campbell and Carter Campbell both of Leander, TX; and sister, Jerry Fambrough of Monet, Missouri.
Visitation hours will be held Thursday, September 27, 2007 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 28, 2007, 10 a.m., at Restlawn Memorial Park in La Feria.
