San Antonio/Los Fresnos, TX: Lydia G. Reyna, 94, of San Antonio/Los Fresnos, TX passed away on March 29, 2012 at her residence in San Antonio surrounded by her loving family. She was very active in the Amigos De Valle in Los Fresnos, where she was crowned “La Reyna” five times.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ezequiel Reyna, Sr.; her grandson, Lee Harrison; her granddaughter, Sonia Reyna; her son, Zeke Reyna, Jr., and her daughter, Yolanda Valdez.
Lydia is survived by children, Janie (Jim) Harrison, Rosendo (Fina) Reyna, Evan (Janie) Reyna, Sr., Ernesto (Dolores) Reyna, Eliazar Reyna, Dalia Reyna and Homer Reyna; 25 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; her sister, Odelia Salazar; her daughter-in-law, Jessie Reyna; and her son-in-law, Guadalupe Valdez.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 P.M. at San Benito Funeral Home.
The funeral procession will depart San Benito Funeral Home on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 9:15 A.M. for a 10:00 A.M. Catholic Funeral Service at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Los Fresnos with Deacon George Terrazas as celebrant. Interment will follow to San Vicente Cemetery in Las Yescas.
