Luz A. Cervantes

San Benito, TX- Luz A. Cervantes, 68, entered into eternal rest Monday, June 4, 2012 at his residence in San Benito. He was employed with CPL/AEP Electric Company for 38 years before retiring in 2006.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Victoria A. Cervantes; his father, Mr. Luz Cervantes; and his sister, Maria Estefina Cervantes.
Luz is survived by his loving wife, Beatrice Lino Cervantes; his children, Cynthia (Jose Luis) Diaz, Richard Cervantes, Valerie (Oscar Garcia) Cervantes; his brothers, Jesus Serbantes and Jose H. Servantes; and 5 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 from 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M with the Holy Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 P.M. at San Benito Funeral Home.
The funeral precession will depart San Benito Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 9:30 A.M. for a 10:00 A.M. Funeral Mass at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Interment will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park with military graveside services under the auspices of American Legion Post 205 of Harlingen.
Pallbearers will be Jose Luis Diaz, Oscar Garcia, Richard Cervantes, Jose H. Servantes, Pete Meza, Frank San Pedro, Jesus Serbantes, and Alfredo Garcia; honorary pallbearers will be his best friend, Jose Cruz Hernandez and his grandchildren, Jose Luis Diaz, Danielle Diaz, Ana Christina Diaz, Alexander Diaz, and Victoria Garcia.
