Lucille F. Hutchens, 95, passed away September 12, 2014 at John Knox Village in Weslaco.
Lucille was born September 13, 1918 in Point Marion, PA.  She proudly served her country in the Army Air Corps during WWII in Germany.  Lucille married Richard Hutchens on August 3, 1945 and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Brownsville, TX.
She is survived by her daughter, Deanne Johnson and her husband Dr. Roger Johnson of Lawton, OK and grandchildren, Kristin Heidbreder of Chesnut Hill, MA, Adam Heidbreder of New York City, NY, Tyler Johnson of Lawton, OK and Grant Johnson of Lawton, OK.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hutchens; daughter, Leslie Heidbreder; and sister, Elizabeth Fransler.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2014 from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 1:00 p.m., at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home with Rev. Howard Bloomquist officiating.  Burial with full military honors will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
Memorial donations may be made to the John Knox Village, 1300 S. Border Ave., Weslaco, TX 78596 in Lucille’s memory.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at John Knox Village for their loving care.
Lucille was a devoted wife and mother who adored her grandchildren.  She had many good friends.
