Lucille Pruitt Hughes, 87, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX with her devoted husband by her side.
Lucille was born on February 2, 1926 in Combes, Texas to Tom and Mable Pruitt. She attended Combes Elementary School and graduated from Harlingen High School in 1943.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents and brother, J.W. Pruitt. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Frank Hughes; son, Dennis (Linda) Hughes of Houston and grandchildren, Stephanie Hughes, Spencer Hughes and Shelly Hughes all of Houston; son, Stephen (Debra) Hughes of Corpus Christi and grandchildren, Jennifer (Josh) Borderud of Waco, Texas and Adam Hughes of Corpus Christi and two great grandchildren, R.C. Borderud and Lillian Lucille Borderud of Waco, Texas; son, David (Sherry) Hughes of Frisco, Texas.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.
