Lowell Benson Cox, 75, passed away Monday, October 5, 2009 at his residence in Harlingen.
Lowell was born in Neosho, MO on September 24, 1934 to Robert and Lucille Cox.  He was a graduate of Neosho High School and served in the U.S. Army for 5 ½ years until his honorable discharge.  He was also a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Neosho, MO.
Lowell was a self-employed carpenter in and around the Chicago area for over 45 years.  He moved to Harlingen in 2001 to retire and that he truly enjoyed. He always had great sense of humor and joy to be around.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia Ann Cox; children, Randy Cox, Jeff Cox, and Carrie Cox; brothers and sisters, Norman L. Cox, Thomas Cox and wife, Linda, Marylynn Knorpp and husband, Frank, Linda Sargent and husband, Robert; grandchild, Cameron Cline Cox and wife, Susan Reyes; and great-grandchild, Callie Marie Cox.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tracey Cox, sister, Iris Kinkade and his parents.
A memorial graveside service will be held at the Saginaw Cemetery in Saginaw, MO, 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 10, 2009 with Pastor Keith Jackson, officiating.
