Lou Ella Palmer Hoffman (Nonie), born in Lorena, Texas, on December 18, 1928 to James Edward and Eva Palmer went to be with our Lord, on December 3, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, 9 sisters, and 2 brothers.
She is survived by her husband, of 62 years, Clarence R. Hoffman, her children, Carol Wilkes, and husband Wayne, from Lubbock, Patricia McMinn, and husband Regan, from Fredericksburg, and Melvin Hoffman, and wife Shawnna, from Midland, her grandchildren, Tammy Williams, and husband Patrick, from Pipe Creek, Regan H. McMinn III from Cedar Creek, Katherine Abegg, from Brooklyn NY, Cari Hoffman, from Lubbock, Misty Heisser, and husband Fritz, from Lubbock, Sam Scarborough and wife Hannah from Denver, Co, and Beth Scarborough, from Midland, and great grandchildren Lauren, Jacob, and Noah Williams, Taylor McMinn, and Holden Heisser.
Lou Ella was very active at Grace Lutheran Church, especially helping out on the annual rummage sales and bazaars. She also enjoyed working on wood projects with her husband, and working jigsaw puzzles. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother, and caregiver to everyone she knew.
Funeral services will be held at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home on Monday, December 7, 2009 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ryan Pederson officiating. Burial will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
