Lorraine Susan Savastano (Master Sgt., U.S. Army, Ret.)

Lorraine Susan Savastano, 74, peacefully passed from this life on October 31, 1021 in Harlingen, Texas. A Massachusetts native, she was born to the late Harry and Maria Savastano on January 25, 1947.

She served in the U.S. Army for 24 years and attained the rank of Master Sergeant. Lorraine completed a Bachelor of Arts in Education degree from Keene State College in Keene, New Hampshire, received her teacher certification, and was a professional educator for 34 years.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. She is survived by her daughter, Lauren; two grandchildren; and faithful companion, Krikit.

Lorraine’s family wishes to thank to the staff of Harlingen Medical Center and Treasure Hills Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center for their compassionate care.

Memorial visitation will take place Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home.  A religious service will begin at 6 o’clock followed by the rendering of military honors by the Honor Guard of the American Vietnam Veterans, Chapter 1.
