Lorraine Missura Graham passed away on December 3rd, 2011. She was born on July 9th, 1928 in Batavia, New York, the daughter of Edward and Helen E. Missura. She was a 1945 graduate of Batavia High School and a 1949 graduate of Rider University.
On a trip to South America in 1950, Lorraine met James S. (Ted) Graham of Brownsville, Texas. They were married 6 months later. The first few years of their married life were spent in Austin while Mr. Graham was completing his undergraduate degree and his law degree at the University of Texas. They moved to Harlingen in 1958 where Ted practiced law at Adams and Graham Law Firm until his death in 1990.
Lorraine is survived by her son, James S. Graham, III (Deborah) of Harlingen, her daughters, Lezlee Coghlan of Bastrop and Kellye Ray (Barry) of Harlingen and six grandchildren, Tyler and Bryden Coghlan and Wesley, Matthew, Ashley and Amber Ray. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
She was greatly loved by her family and will remain a part of their lives each day.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 8th, 2011 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home with the family present to receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
A private graveside service will be held. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 9th, 2011, 11 a.m., at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Harlingen with Bishop David Reed officiating. A reception will follow the service in the St. Alban’s Parish Hall.
