Lillie O. Gants, 91, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2008 at La Hacienda Nursing Home in Harlingen, TX
Lillie was born in Robstown, TX on October 13, 1916 to Benjamin and Lula Ottinger. She was a former resident of Raymondville and moved to Harlingen in 1938. She was a former waitress/cashier at The Highway Inn in Harlingen for many years. She also was a member of the Church of Christ on 7th Street in Harlingen.
Lillie is survived by a brother, Ben Ottinger of Austin, TX; sister, Bernice Foster of Clovis, CA and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay H. Gants and sisters, Lena May Henderson and Leona Spear.
Funeral services will be held at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home, 3:00 P.M., Saturday, August 2, 2008.
Visitation hours will be from 12:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Friday, August 1, 2008 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society.
