Lila Ann Fierstien

Lila Ann Fierstien, 94, of Conroe, Texas, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018.  She was born on April 13, 1924, in Saginaw, Michigan to Marshas & Anna Nott.

Mrs. Fierstien earned her Bachelor from Central Michigan University. She was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church in Frankenmuth, Michigan and member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the VFW in Birch Run, Michigan.  She was a retired 1st grade teacher in Birch Run, Michigan and her passions were oil painting and quilting.  Lila and her husband, John, retired from the Birch Run, Michigan area, and spent their years together as “Snowbirds” spending the winters in Rio Hondo & San Benito, Texas and the summers in East Jordan, Michigan.

Lila is preceded in death by her husband John Fierstien III, who passed away in 1991; parents Marshas & Anna Nott, her sister Alice Nott.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Marsha Goecker, Patricia (Randy) Hauk, John (Nancy ) Fierstien, David (Janet) Fierstien, Dianna (Doug) Knight; grandchildren: Kelly (Dave) Stewart, Cheri (Kevin)) Schopp, Dallas (Mandy) Goecker, Julie (Jon) Muley, Sarah (Dave) Smith, Steven Fierstien, Ryan Fierstien, Adam Fierstien, Kyle Fierstien, Jacob Knight and Shelby Knight; 14 great grandchildren and 1great grandchild

Visitation will start Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. with Chapel Service at 1:00 p.m. at San Benito Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.

Honor to serve as pallbearers will be John Fierstien, Dave Fierstien, Randy Hauk, Doug Knight, Dallas Goecker, and Ryan Fierstien
