Lidia Gloria (Davila) Aguirre

Lidia Gloria Davila Aguirre 77, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018. Born in San Pedro, Texas on November 9, 1940 to Flumencio & Juanita Vasquez Davila. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. Our mother and nanny was a loving matriarch whose legacy is her family.

She is preceded in death by twin daughter Ana Maria Aguirre, her parents Flumencio & Juanita Davila, sisters, Melida Garcia, Guadalupe Davila Ruelas, Emma Davila Ruelas; brothers, Manuel Davila, Juan Davila Pedro Rosas, and Pedro Davila. Left to treasure Lidia’s memory and carry on her legacy are her husband of 56 years Alfonso Aguirre; her children, Armando (Petra) Aguirre, Ana (Fred) Aguirre-Cavazos, Rolando Aguirre, Dora (Sam) Aguirre, Delia (Louie) Aguirre-Garcia; Nanny to : Carrie Aguirre Segura, Christina Aguirre, Armando Aguirre Jr., Anthony Aguirre, Ismael Tejeda, Cassandra Cavazos, Melissa Cavazos, Jordan Ramirez-Wally, Paulo Benavides Jr., Jacob Christian Garcia, Caleb James Garcia, Chloe Jayden Garcia; great grandkids: Robert, Raelene, Kailye, Eli, Jaylin Alexis, Emma Lanelle, Trae, Hayden, Radric, Julian, Peyton, Kiera, Ryan, Violet, Evelyn; her sister Maria Aurora Martinez. Numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

Lidia’s family will be receiving friends and relatives on Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at San Benito Funeral Home. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7:00 PM on Sunday. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Theresa Catholic Church at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 2, 2018. Interment will follow San Benito City Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be her grandsons: Armando Aguirre Jr., Anthony Aguirre, Caleb James Garcia, Paulo Benavides Jr., Jacob Christian Garcia, Ismael Tejeda, and sons, Armando Aguirre, and Rolando Aguirre; Honorary Pallbearers: sons in law, Louie Garcia and Fred Cavazos.  Thank you to our brother, Rolando, for being her loving caretaker. We are forever grateful for you devotion to mom.
