Librado Amaya, Jr.

San Benito, TX: Librado “Lee” Amaya, Jr., 60, passed away peacefully at Solara Hospital in Harlingen on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 after a long illness.
Lee was born in “El Jardin” of San Benito on August 21, 1950 to Librado Amaya Sr. and Francisca Huerta Amaya.
He is preceded in death by his son, Lenny Amaya (1982); and his parents (2007); they will rejoice in heaven together.
Lee is survived by his wife of 39 years, Maria Elena Amaya; and his daughter, Frances M. Amaya both of San Benito; his brother, Lorenzo (Mary) Amaya, their daughters, Rebecca and Diana all of Brownsville; along with all his Huerta cousins from El Jardin, whom he loved like brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 8, 2011 from 1:30 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. at San Benito Funeral Home.
Chapel Service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at San Benito Funeral Home. Interment will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park.
